How is this calculated?

This estimate is for an Estonian resident under pension age employed under an employment contract. In 2026, income tax is 22%, social tax is 33% and the general tax-free allowance is up to €700 a month, regardless of income. Employee unemployment insurance is 1.6% and the employer contribution is 0.8%. Second-pillar contributions are 0%, 2%, 4% or 6%. Income tax applies after employee contributions and the allowance.

Calculation assumptions

Annual results assume 12 identical months. The automatic 2025 allowance assumes the same salary throughout the year and no other income. Your annual return, other income and rounding can change the final result. By default, social tax is based on actual gross pay. Enable the minimum obligation only where the full monthly minimum applies (€292.38 in 2026; €270.60 in 2025), including applicable zero-pay months. Board member fees, pension-age employment and self-employment are outside this model.
