PNG, JPEG or WebP · Up to 12 MB, 12 megapixels and 8,192 pixels per sideHow it works
Starting recognition loads a language model and reads the image on your device. Compare the result with the original, make corrections, then save or clean up the text.
Assumptions and limits
Clear, well-lit printed text gives better results. Check names, numbers and accented characters before using the output.
Guide and examplesRecognize Estonian letters as editable text
- Open or paste a still PNG, JPEG or WebP image containing printed text. Limits are 12 MB, 12 megapixels and 8,192 pixels per side.
- Select Estonian for Estonian text, or English for English text. Rotate sideways text before starting recognition. The first run downloads the engine and chosen language model.
- Compare the editable result with the image, correct mistakes, then copy it or download TXT. Text cleanup can join broken lines after you review the recognition.
Estonian OCR example: õ, ä, ö and ü
Printed text in a clear image
Õhtul sööb väike öökull õunu.
Tähed: õ ä ö üExpected editable text after review
Õhtul sööb väike öökull õunu.
Tähed: õ ä ö üThis illustrates the intended transcription, not a guaranteed recognition result. Check accents, names and numbers against the source. The tool reads images, not PDFs directly; export a scanned PDF page as an image first. Handwriting and complex table layouts can produce poor results.
