WordPress speed optimisation
I help improve the speed of WordPress websites and WooCommerce shops. I measure the starting point, find what causes the slowdown and implement the agreed fixes. At handover, you receive a clear account of what changed.

Speed audit and diagnosis
I measure the agreed pages on mobile and desktop. I review server response, images, scripts, the theme and plugins, and the Core Web Vitals metrics LCP, INP and CLS. This helps identify where to start.
WordPress speed optimisation
I implement the fixes agreed after the audit: for example, optimising images, configuring caching, reducing unnecessary scripts or improving theme and plugin code. We discuss hosting changes when needed.
Checks and results comparison
I compare measurements before and after the changes. Alongside speed, I check forms, mobile layouts and the agreed shopping flow. You receive a record of the work, its results and any remaining improvements.
A comparable record of the result
The report identifies the pages compared, device and network conditions, and metrics before and after the fixes. You can see how loading, responsiveness and layout stability changed, along with the forms or shopping steps I checked. I also include recommendations for further work.
How we work together
Send your URL and describe the problem
Send your website URL and describe when or where it feels slow. I review the site, and we agree on the audit, access requirements and comparable measurements.
Agree on the improvements
Using the measurements, I explain what slows the site down and recommend improvements. Once we have agreed on scope, price and timing, I implement the changes and check them as I work.
Verify the result and hand over
I measure the same pages again under comparable conditions and check the agreed features. You receive a results comparison, a record of the changes and recommendations for maintaining the site’s speed.
Scope and pricing
I prepare a specific quote after reviewing your website and needs. Pricing depends on whether settings and content improvements are enough or the theme, plugins or hosting also need changes. We agree on the scope of the audit and fixes separately.
The first consultation is free. We agree on the scope, price and timeline before work begins.
Want to check your website’s speed first?
The guide explains common reasons for a slow WordPress website and how to take your first measurements. It can help you understand the problem before commissioning the work.

How much does WordPress speed optimisation cost?
Pricing depends on what causes the slowdown and the work needed to address it. Send your website URL and describe where the problem is most noticeable. The first consultation is free; we agree on the audit and fixes, their price and timing before work starts.
Can you optimise a website built by another developer?
Yes. I review the existing site, hosting, theme and plugins. We agree on the access I need and the scope of work so I can address what is slowing your particular website down.
Is this service suitable for a WooCommerce shop?
Yes. Alongside product and category loading, I review the agreed shopping flow. Cache settings need to account for the cart, checkout and customer accounts, and I check that important actions still work after the changes.
Does a slow WordPress website need to be rebuilt?
Not always. Improving images, scripts, plugins or caching may be enough. If the problem lies deeper in the theme, code or hosting, I explain the change I recommend and why. You can then decide how to proceed.
