Generate Estonian payment references and check IBANs
Generate a payment reference or check an IBAN. For Estonian IBANs, you can also look up the bank or payment institution by its two-digit code.
How it works
Estonian payment references use the Banking Association’s 7-3-1 check digit. The IBAN check examines the format and checksum of the account number.
Assumptions and limits
Confirm the account owner and payment details separately with the recipient. A checksum helps detect typing errors.
Guide and examplesCreate a payment reference or check an account number
- Choose reference generation, reference validation or IBAN validation. Paste one value or a batch of up to 100 non-empty lines.
- For generation, use 1–19 digits. The tool adds the Estonian 7-3-1 check digit; for IBANs, it checks the supported country format and checksum.
- Review each result, copy the valid identifier or download the batch as CSV. Estonian IBANs also show the institution associated with their two-digit code.
Reference example
123 → 1232The base 123 gets check digit 2. A valid checksum detects some typing errors; it does not confirm that an account exists, identify its owner or send a payment. Confirm recipient details separately.
